ABOUT US

The New Milford Wrestling Foundation is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation founded in 2019. This organized is exclusively for charitable, educational and promotional purposes in support and advancement of the sport of Wrestling in the Borough of New Milford, Bergen County, New Jersey within the meaning of section 501(c)(3). The organization will engage in activities permissible under section 501(c)(3) including: community fund, education and promotion of the sport of wrestling for the children and their families engaged in any organized league or program within the jurisdiction of the Borough of New Milford.

The New Milford Wrestling Foundation will provide funding and grants for students and participants of the Recreational and High School wrestling programs.

The New Milford Wrestling Foundation is not a part of the New Milford Recreation program or the New Milford High School Athletics program.

Trustees and Volunteers

The New Milford Wrestling Foundation has one class of members as provided in the Bylaws and pursuant to the New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation Act. Membership will consist of (10) ten members, each designated as a Trustee of the organization. The trustees shall make up the Board of Trustees. The current New Milford High School Head Wrestling coach and the current New Milford Head Recreational Wrestling Coach or their designee(s) will be required to be a part of this board. These head coaches will always have a seat on this board. In the event of a change of head coach or the board in general unless deemed otherwise by the majority of the Board of Trustees. The Board will also require one member to be designated as a Treasurer for a minimum one year term. The byLaws of this organization shall govern the cadence of member reappointment and duration.
